All students should have their Study Guides finished by Friday. If not, I will still give the Study Guide answers to you but will ask your parents to hang on to those until you finish the written questions. The assessments are the first week in January. 

 

I'll give you a short Christmas logic packet also. You should solve your specialty problems and can work on any of the others. And I recommend reading Treasure Island, the Super Quiz Literature book, if possible. It's a wonderful book to enjoy regardless of whether a student makes the competition team.  

 

 

Each assignment is due the next time we meet. The assignments are to read the material and answer the chapter review and vocabulary questions in writing (no need to use complete sentences). For the vocabulary, they should not use an outside dictionary if they can't find the definition in the text or glossary. The coaches have the answer keys which contain the definitions as written by the test writers. It's important for the students to learn the wording the test writers use so they can recognize it on the actual tests. 

 

We will only study the Individual Subjects until Christmas vacation. Please use Thanksgiving vacation to help them with as much of the material as possible, including doing some logic problems.
