Here is what you have to do:

 

Grammar pages 140-141, exercises 11, 12, 13

 

Make sure your DIGL 3 Study Guides are done.

 

Make sure your Unit 8 Vocab work is done (the 5 sections we usually do).

 

Work on the cover for your nonfiction graphic book.

Test on Vocab 7 on Thursday

 

Grammar pages129-131, ex 6, 7, 8

 

Will go over semicolon paper with you.

 

DIGL 3 Study Guide 1 needs to be complete.

Also, if you haven't turned in IXL checklists.  Make sure, too, that if you did that when I check the system, it matches what you are claiming on the checklists.  If they don't match, I will have to change your points.

 

 

 

IXL's due.  Many of you didn't turn in the checklist for the 1st round.  All the IXL's from 1st and 2nd round have been posted for some time.  Please get in your checklists.  Gradelink will be reflecting checklists not turned in.  

Make sure you bring Grammar pages 271-276, Exercises 4, 5, 6, 7.  We will be going over them.

Hello 6th grade,

 

We have to remain flexible with what's going on and preparing for the program at school for Christmas.  So, tentatively scheduled is our Unit 6 test for Monday the 16th and the Food Essay on the 17th.  Again, please remain flexible, but prepared!

Also, please note:  you have library and rehearsals this week.  If I feel that there's not enough time to do your other mini writing lesson for the food essay because of the way the week is going, I will have the Food Essay due the 17th.

The test will follow the same format as our previous tests.  Make sure you are familiar with the Vocabulary Story on pages 50-51.  The test will start at the beginning of class.  There will be QUIET tasks to do following the test.  I do not want anyone needing to do the test on another day or not be finished if you are present tomorrow.

Deep Dive--Partner #1.  Give your paper to someone else to add their paragraph containing their words for either aud, bio, or chron.  Must be different Greek/Latin root than yours.  Continue the story that your partner started.

Bring your comma video notes and comma practice paper to turn in before the quiz, which is about commas that we have been studying this week.

Take ONE of the Greek/Latin Roots you found NEW words for.  Write a paragraph that tells a narrative story (creative story) using all those NEW  WORDS.  Please make sure to bring it to class in printed form or handwritten form.
